SME launches The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) 2006
The United Arab Emirates has joined a total of 42 nations taking part in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). Sponsored by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment For Young Business Leaders, the GEM report provides insights into the nature, risks and attitudes associated with UAE nationals developing new business in the country.
With millions of small to medium size businesses around the world contributing to over 90% of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the findings in the GEM’s UAE study are essential to the future economic development and well-being of the UAE. The more involved the local population becomes, and successful in starting new ventures, the brighter the future will be.
GEM study reports are free and are highly recommended for anyone wanting to start their own business.
