Mohammed Bin Rashid Awards for Your Business Leaders

Dubai-UAE: Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders has announced the categories for the 3rd round of its Awards. The Awards for 2006 are to be presented under 13 categories including various small and medium business sectors plus 4 special Awards that will be presented by the Establishment.

Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO of Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders said, “Since the launch of the Awards in 2003, they have helped in motivating and supporting the entrepreneurs and promoting excellence. A judging committee comprising leading public figures has been formed to ensure the highest standards of selection”.

He added, “We are pleased by the success of the Awards over the past years, with the Awards attracting active participation of young entrepreneurs in the competition. This in turn reflects their trust in the credibility of the Awards and its importance in supporting their projects and giving it a fresh lease of distinction and creativity”.

The Awards are presented in 13 different categories including Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award –Male and Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award – Female. The Award for Best New Arab Project for the Year 2006 for both men and women is the only Award open to all Arab countries. This award is granted to the most successful project in the Arab world.

The Award also includes honoring the distinctive entrepreneurs from various business sectors, on the primary condition of participation being that their project was founded at least a year ago.

Best Industrial Manufacturing Business Award will be given to the distinguished and successful business in the field of industrial products.

Best IT Business Award will be awarded to the distinguished establishment working in the field of Information Technology. The businesses that are eligible to be nominated are: technological consultancy, software production, and retail trading for information systems.

Best Tourism Service Business will be awarded to distinguished work in tourism sector. The businesses that are eligible to enter are restaurants, residential and tourist attractions or businesses that cater to tourists.

Best Health and Well Care Business will be awarded to the distinguished establishment in the field of healthcare services. The businesses eligible to participate in this award are: medical training, pharmaceutical companies, medical service providers, research and development.

The Award of Best Service Provider is presented to any project that has shown excellence in providing services to its clients, including wedding party services, transportation, car parks, and events services.

The Award of Best Marketing & Promotion Business is granted to the project with the distinctive vision and competitive edge in the highly competitive market such as media production, marketing, advertising, public relations and publications.

Best Consulting & Professional Business Award will be awarded to the organization that has contributed in the development of the establishments. The businesses eligible to enter are: business consultancy such as accounting companies, legal establishments, managerial consultancies, market research companies, property companies and recruitment agencies.

Best Educational Business Award will be awarded to educational establishments that offer their services to the society using the most developed technologies for the education of adults and children. The businesses that are eligible to enter are: personnel training organisations, established training companies and education providers.

Best Design Business Award will be awarded to the establishment that has displayed noticeable success in the field of design using the latest technologies making it one of the prospective leaders of the market. The businesses that are eligible for this award are: jewellery design, fashion design, engineering design, interior designing and graphic designing.

Best Retail Business, while broad, this award is specifically focused on businesses that sell a product to the public. This will be awarded to distinguished retail business that has demonstrated continued growth. Businesses eligible for this award are: any companies that sell goods or products as well as wholesalers.

Best Facility Management Business will be awarded to the establishment that has demonstrated high standards in the field of service management. The businesses eligible for this award are: landscaping, building maintenance, property management

Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders will grant 4 special Awards including Award for the Government Agency that contributed the most to the SME Government Procurement Program. This award will be given to the Government Agency that proved to be the most supportive for the young UAE national entrepreneurs by accepting their tenders.

Best University/College in Entrepreneurial Education will be awarded to the educational establishment that proved its leadership by introducing new businesses and encouraging students to set up their own businesses in the future.

Lifetime Achievement Award will be awarded to distinguished UAE entrepreneur who has established himself in the field of business and provided support and inspiration to the new entrepreneurs.

The Award of Young Entrepreneur will be granted to the most successful project in this field.

The winners will be selected by the Judging Committee and the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment and felicitated at an Awards Ceremony.
