One of the essential components of the Establishment’s value-added platform is Entrepreneur Relations. This Unit falls under the Government Relations Department, where they interact with relevant Government Licensing departments in the Emirate of Dubai to offer all type of license including Trading, Tourism, Professional and Industrial.

Services Offered to SME members:

1. Issuance of Trade license with Local Fees exemption (which includes Department of Economic Development and Dubai Municipality) for three years from the date of issuance of license (does not include fees imposed by Federal entities). Renewal for licenses should be annually, with minimal Fees for renewals, or amendments to the license.
2. Receiving Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry membership for three years, as well as “Dubai Trade Point”, where you are enabled to access the world markets through e-commerce, and provide you the opportunity to use the Global Trade \pint Net (GTPNet) that contains numerous business opportunities and provide you with appropriate information, training and Consultation.
3. Fee exemption for Trade License renewals (depends on Year of issuance).

1. Project must be established in the Emirate of Dubai.
2. Project must be fully operated by the UAE National.
3. Renewal of the Trade license should not exceed three years of date of registration.
4. The owners and/or managers are UAE national, Non-national partner is prohibited.
5. Number of Trade license issued per applicant prior to submitting membership application should not exceed four.
6. If the application is for an existing business, it should not exceed three years.
7. Type of activities of the New Company should be compatible and complementary to the Establishment’s set-category.

Required Documents for new license:

1. Department of Economic Development Registration Template (for trading, professional, and industrial licenses) and Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing Registration Forms for Tourism license ((available at the Establishment).
2. Project Executive Summary Form (available at the Establishment).
3. To reserve a Trade name, please attach “List of Commercial names form” from the Department of Economic Development for the Trading, Professional and Industrial license and the Department of Tourism and Commercial marketing for the Tourism License. These forms are available at the Establishment.
4. All Documents previously submitted to the Economic Department and/or Department of Tourism and commercial Development in Case of Initial approvals or in case of Commercial Name reservation from the above-mentioned departments (Please note that Initial Approvals and Commercial Name Reservation can be obtained from the Establishment free of Charge).
5. Obtain approvals of all other relevant government authorities, which are necessary in each case based on activities (Please refer to the Establishment for list of relevant Authorities).
6. Copy of the Leasing Contract with Location map issued by the Municipality (for applicants leasing outside the Establishment).
7. Original UAE Passport and naturalization identifications with copies for applicants and all partners.
8. 2 color photographs for applicants and each partner.
9. Résumé, educational and Training Certificate for applicants and each partner.

Required Documents for renewal of License:

Please submit the following documents:

1. Licensing Department Required Services Form “available at the Establishment”.
2. Department of Economic Development Registration Form (for trading, professional, and industrial licenses) and Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing Registration Forms, and specify Telephone and Fax number, P.O. Box number and Electronic mailing address.
3. Number of Establishment in the Ministry of Labor (it’s advisable to attach copy of the Company’s Card issued by Ministry of Labor).
4. Official Bank letter indicating Official Signatory on behalf of the company for banks transactions.
5. Bank Account statement for the last Six months.
6. Report of Company’s previous year performance and next year business plan.
7. Copy of the renewal Leasing Contract with Location map issued by the Municipality (for applicants leasing outside the Establishment).
8. Original Trade License.
9. Original Membership Certificate for Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (if applicable).

Required Documents for License Amendments:

1. Business Centre Required Services Form “available at the Establishment”.
2. Department of Economic Development Registration Form (for trading, professional, and industrial licenses) and Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing Registration Forms, and specify Telephone and Fax number, P.O. Box number and Electronic mailing address (available at the Establishment).
3. All Documents previously submitted to the Economic Department and/or Department of Tourism and commercial Development for approval of amendment (Please note that Initial Approvals on Amendment can be obtained from the Establishment free of Charge).
4. Approvals of all other relevant government authorities, which are necessary in each case based on activities (Please refer to the Establishment for list of relevant Authorities).
5. To change/Amend Trade Name of Company, please attach “List of Trade Name” form from the Department of Economic development (for the Trading, Professional and Industrial License) and Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing (For Tourism License), this form is available at the Establishment.
6. For Changing of Business Activities location, please attach Copy of the Leasing Contract with Location map issued by the Municipality (for applicants leasing outside).
7. Original Trade License.
